Il Francese Roger Aubry merita di essere ricordato perchè realizzò un sistema per la ripresa di foto aeree ad elevato contenuto tecnologico. La macchina fotografica veniva mossa da terra elettricamente, grazie all' energia fornita da una piccola dinamo. Questo consentiva di cambiare l' inquadratura senza dovere necessariamente recuperare l' aquilone. Inoltre, la macchina, aveva la capacità di scattare ben dieci lastre in sequenza; su ogni lastra veniva impresso, al momento dello scatto, il valore dell' altezza dal suolo e quello dell' inclinazione dell' apparecchiatura in quel preciso istante.

The Frenchman Roger Aubry realized a very sophisticated system for kite aerial photography. It was possible to change the framing by moving the camera from the earth, thanks to the energy supplyed by a little dynamo. In this way it was not necessary to recover the kite each time that the operation was needed.
The camera was able to shot a sequence of ten images, on ten different plates ; when the shutter was released, on each plate, were impressed the values of the eight and inclination of the camera in that very istant.
